While relations had soured for a period of time, since then the bond has grown stronger between the communities and with the help of his good friend Russell Simmons, Rabbi Schneier has spearheaded cooperation between the two minority groups. All the while Rabbi Schneier looks forward to similar ties with the American Muslim community.
