Lena Einhorn
Lena Einhorn followed a non-traditional route to filmmaking; she began as a scientist. After turning to science documentaries as an outlet, she set out on a long journey to tell her mother’s story of escape from the Holocaust. In a unique twist, Lena’s mother would serve as narrator to the feature film Lena would direct. Thus a feature film with documentary elements was created and “Nina’s Journey” would go on to win numerous awards. Lena talked to us about this project as well as her play “The Living Room” and discusses the future of Jewish life and Israel’s affect on Jews in Sweden.
