Dick Strawbridge started a lengthy army career in 1979, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring in 2001. This British engineer quickly took to the airwaves in the TV show Scrapheap Challenge. Dick went on to do several more shows including Coast, Plant Mechanics, as well as his family's reality show It's Not Easy Being Green.
