Ami Yares is a singer-songwriter living in Israel and performing all over the world. His original music is a feature of Israel's own Country, Folk, and Americana band, 'HOLLER!' - (www.thebandholler.com). His lyrics touch upon all walks of life and have been enjoyed by many. Deep within the music, you'll find a special dialogue with Israel and Jewish identity as many other aspects of life and reality. Ami is also the founder and director of programming and education for The Shuk (www.the-shuk.com), an Israel based ensemble of educators and musicians who use music to delve into performances, workshops, and lectures about Israel and Jewish identity. For the last year and a half , Ami has traveled all over the world teaching and performing with The Shuk. Ami also works with Heartbeat: Jerusalem and coordinates music programming for youth of all ages and backgrounds in Jerusalem. Every month, Jerusalem youth gather and perform music together at the Willie Brandt Center in Abu Tor. Ami is a dynamic and extraordinaire musician and teacher with an unique ability to gather people together for an intelligent as well as body movin' experience!
