If you have yet to hear of the Jewish Community Heroes Contest put on by the UJC, you have yet to play your part in one of the 613 commandments -- thou shalt give back to your community by supporting those who support others. OK -- so maybe that wasn't exactly a commandment, but hey, it's the truth. Jewish Community Heros is a campaign celebrating the selflessness of Jewish Do-gooders in North America. For the past 3 months, this campaign has attracted over 150,000 votes and counting. Impressive.
Hi, I'm Margot
All of this is a fabulous intro to our (Leadel's) upcoming "Jews that Do" contest -- to be featured on JewTube in the coming weeks. Be sure to check back for further details and contest rules!
That said, hi, I'm Margot. I'm officially the newest member of the Leadel Team, naim meod. Despite being a true Floridian -- yup, born and raised in Sunny So.Fla -- I'll happily be broadcasting to you from Jerusalem, where my heart and soul are happiest. THAT said, I'm also a new (but not so new, NBN Sept 2007) olah chadasha and very happy and proud to be here. After all, isn't it everyone's dream to work in an environment that allows you to promote what you truly believe in for a living? :) That's me!
Now that we're old friends, do you trust me? If you answered yes, take my word and check out our video on Mr. Ohpir "Kutiman" Kutiel. You won't regret it...
Anyway please do, tweet, comment, email, and/or whatever your preference of telecommunication may be as I'm looking forward to our time together where I'll get to impose some opinions, provide some insight, and hopefully spark some converstation one way or another.
Cheers.
Jewish Community Heroes and Me :)
